Dear members of the Spreading Depression/Depolarization (SD) research community,

On behalf of the Scientific Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to extend a warm invitation to the 25th International Conference on Spreading Depolarizations (iCSD) to be held in Antalya, Türkiye, on November 13-17, 2024.

With keynote presentations from top scientists, no-holds-barred debate sessions, numerous oral presentations, and generous room for poster discussions, this year’s meeting promises to be a robust medium to showcase your data, ideas, and technology to advance the field.

The traditionally small size and informal atmosphere of iCSD brings together international scientists and innovators, from newly initiated trainees to seasoned professors, in a relaxed boutique environment where lasting exchanges take place and the seeds for future collaborations are sowed. The relevance of SD for migraine, epilepsy, ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attack, head trauma, cerebral small vessel disease, subdural hematoma, vascular malformations, brain tumors, and even movement disorders provides fertile ground for cross-pollination. Technological advances in neuromonitoring and neuromodulation synergize with drug discovery efforts. Altogether, these will make the iCSD2024—Türkiye a rich and rewarding experience.

This year’s meeting format will have sessions spread over 4 days, ample time for friendly and yet passionate scientific discourse. At the end of the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to wind down and relax, enjoying the amenities of an all-inclusive Mediterranean resort in a port city founded more than two thousand years ago.

This year, the meeting will take place at Papillon Ayscha Hotel in Serik district of Antalya. You can enjoy the Mediterranean at this all-inclusive hotel located on the seafront. You can turn your relaxation times into fun with its beautiful pools and bars. According to the hotel's all-inclusive concept, in addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner, soft and alcoholic drinks and snacks at bars and restaurants are free of charge within the concept. You can spend your free time in Antalya, the city with the best holiday and historical past in Turkey, either relaxing in its perfect nature or visiting beautiful ancient places.

Last but not least, we would like to extend our gratitude to The Turkish Neurological Society, the official sponsor of this year’s meeting. The meeting would not have been possible without their generous support.

Please feel free to forward the invitation email or the link to the website to anyone you think might be interested in iCSD. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Antalya!
